Senior Analyst, Emerging Business

We're seeking a Senior Analyst, Emerging Business to join our team in London, UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality strategic analysis and implementation support to active initiatives, reporting to the Senior Manager / Director based in the Emerging Business Group.
  • Over the longer-term, scope and support the activation/investment pipeline for future initiatives, including:
    • Performing initial analysis of how and where Emerging Business can activate new revenues.
    • Creating business cases to showcase the potential for new revenue initiatives.
    • Preparation of executive/board level materials.
  • Actively researching, scoping, and developing business cases for new growth areas of interest to the business.
  • Articulating and producing Executive & Investment Committee-level pitch decks.
  • Supporting the creation of the investment pipeline and conducting investment research/discovery/scoping.
  • Developing new investment ideas in concert with the line manager/EB team/Ventures team/internal stakeholders to evaluate potential investment targets.
  • Engaging in agile and ongoing product development work to stand up, test, incubate, and scale new initiatives.
  • Providing ongoing support across BAU processes, projects, financial reporting, regular operational reporting, and identifying opportunities to leverage existing teams/resources to accelerate initiatives.
  • Supporting and guiding LG Finance Graduates on the EB team.
Requirements:
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree, with a focus in a relevant field (finance, strategy) preferred.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, and strategy is essential.
  • Experience and ability in efficiently and accurately building standard business models, assessing fundamental strategic elements of a business (both mature and early-stage).
  • Ability to scope and pitch new businesses and ideas, and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Exposure to agile ways of working/design thinking is an added plus.
  • Additional European languages are an added plus.
