Job Title: Mechanical Trainer

Location: Rochester, UK (3 days in centre, 2 days remote)

We are seeking a qualified engineering professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of qualifications at a well-established training provider. As a Mechanical Trainer, you will be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking L3 & L4 qualifications.

The ideal candidate will be a time served Mechanical Engineer with maintenance experience, possessing either an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above). If you do not hold these qualifications but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and hold sound experience in the engineering sector, we would like to hear from you. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility
• Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience within Mechanical Engineering
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experience of working with young people

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Level 4 (or above) occupational engineering qualification
• Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
• Teaching qualification (desirable)
