Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to support and develop the technical infrastructure of our digital platforms, focusing primarily on the development of comprehensive learning and research collections and services. The successful candidate will have a relevant professional qualification or proven experience of systems administration in a busy service environment with a commitment to continual professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on the technical elements of our Digital Shift strategy, supporting the development of new systems and services that enable our users to advance and share their knowledge and deliver ground-breaking research.
  • Contribute to the University's strategic priorities in research, teaching and public engagement, working effectively with academic, library, museums and IT Services colleagues.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to support the expansion of our portfolio of services in support of research and education.
  • Provide technical input at the funding stage and drive the specification, procurement and implementation of new systems.
  • Shape the development of our digital platforms and services, ensuring they meet the needs of our users and stakeholders.
