About the Position:

A leading global player in integrated facilities and corporate real estate management seeks an exceptional Mechanical Data Centre Engineer in London Docklands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing maintenance tasks, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth operation of building systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities, collaborating closely with the building engineering supervisor and day-shift team.
  2. Liaise with engineering management and client representatives to guarantee that maintenance aligns with site regulations, policies, and health & safety standards.
  3. Provide regular updates to the engineering supervisor on-site, supporting shift teams in completing tasks safely and efficiently within specified timeframes.
  4. Perform routine maintenance on building systems and equipment, ensuring they meet and surpass service level agreements.
  5. Rapidly address Building Management System alarms and undertake emergency repairs as needed.
  6. Verify that engineering subcontractors adhere to contractual obligations and site protocols.
  7. Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all company and client policies and procedures.
  8. Remain current with industry developments, emphasizing ongoing learning and personal growth.
  9. Manage critical mechanical systems such as chilled water systems, pumps, ACUs, motors, and others.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Manual Handling Training is beneficial.
  2. A Level 3 NVQ in a related field is necessary.
  3. Demonstrate expertise in health and safety protocols relevant to maintenance tasks.
  4. Flexibility regarding working hours is required.
  5. PASMA & IPAF certifications are desirable.
  6. Familiarity with interconnected systems (Fire, PMS, BMS) is essential.
