Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs secondary school in Stockport. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with Autism, Complex Needs, SLD or PMLD, and be committed to providing high-quality support to enable students to reach their full potential.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of up to £90 per day for the first 12 weeks, increasing to equal pay to permanent staff from the 13th week. Additionally, they will have access to excellent facilities and resources, a generous referral scheme, and more FREE online CPD courses than any other agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with Autism, Complex Needs, SLD or PMLD in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with other Teaching Assistants, management, parents, and outside agencies to provide holistic support to students
  • Manage challenging behaviour and emotions, using effective strategies to de-escalate conflicts and promote positive relationships
Requirements
  • An enhanced DBS certificate that is on the Update Service (or be happy to pay for a new one)
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
  • A CV with full education and work history
  • The legal right to work in the UK
  • Some experience supporting children with special needs
