Job Description:

This role focuses on managing the assets of a local authority in East London. The selected candidate will oversee the repair, maintenance, improvement, and re-servicing of council-owned stock, guaranteeing compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the assessment of the current state of council-owned assets, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to enhance the value of these assets while minimizing costs.
  • Ensure effective communication with various stakeholders, including contractors, residents, and local authorities.
  • Prepare detailed reports and proposals outlining the results of assessments and potential courses of action.
  • Implement budgetary controls, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet project goals.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in a relevant field, such as surveying, construction management, or business administration.
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in asset management or a related field within the public sector.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills, capable of guiding cross-functional teams.
