The greatest asset to our business is the incredible talent that delivers our products. As our Chief Talent Officer, you'll be responsible for everything related to attracting, assessing, recruiting, training, developing, and retaining the great talent we need to unlock rapid, quality growth.

  1. Develop and implement our long-term talent attraction and skills strategy, including multi-year budget allocation.
  2. Lead a large multi-skilled organization, challenging everyone to think big, test new approaches, and move fast.
  3. Own market analysis to understand the availability of labor (now and projected) to build a sustainable pipeline of skilled and unskilled talent to meet our long-term growth objectives.
  4. Build the physical infrastructure to deliver a nationwide skills academy that meets the needs of the business, continuously developing to anticipate and address future skills gaps.
  5. Develop a compelling employee value proposition that reflects the elements that attract great talent to working with Octopus, including compensation framework, benefits offering, training, and development opportunities.
  6. Collaborate with the Data Science team to continually iterate and improve our supply and training forecasting tools.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience of running large, multi-functional teams, with familiarity with field-based or remote organizations.
  • Experience in managing large real estate projects, including sourcing and operationalizing large sites.
  • A track record of working within complex regulatory environments and developing scalable processes that adhere to compliance standards.
  • The ability to synthesize complex analysis (often with missing or imperfect information) to enable teams to define the best route forward.
