Data Centre Operations Manager

 

We are looking for a seasoned Data Centre Operations Manager to lead our IT team's efforts in managing and maintaining high-availability data centre operations.

In this role, you will oversee the health and safety of data centre operations, ensuring the seamless operation of networks, servers, and storage systems, as well as guaranteeing the security and reliability of our IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the health and safety of data centre operations (power, fire suppression, environmental controls).
  • Ensure high-availability data centre operations, including networks, servers, and storage systems.
  • Monitor systems and swiftly resolve issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Evaluate and implement effective backup and recovery strategies.
  • Configure and manage both physical and virtual server environments.
  • Provide ongoing support for server administration, virtualization, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Work collaboratively to uphold IT security standards and support business continuity plans.
  • Contribute to network management and ensure smooth operation of connected systems.

Your Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, including data centres, servers, and storage.
  • Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and backup.
  • Strong knowledge of server and system administration, both on-premises and in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with data centre operations, including environmental monitoring, power management, and safety protocols.
  • Skilled in network management and IT security.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, but not required.
