The Perfect Candidate:

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Cambridge. As a key member of the Estimating division, you will work on a diverse range of projects including Industrial and Commercial, with values ranging from £500k to £45m.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze tender documents, raising RFIs as needed.
  • Manage supply chain correspondence and enquiries, ensuring that all necessary information is obtained.
  • Perform take-offs conforming to standard estimating conventions, providing accurate and reliable data.
  • Vet incoming tenders, identifying the most viable options for submission.
  • Prepare tenders for internal adjudications, presenting costing approaches and project durations.
  • Present your findings at tender adjudication meetings, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure timely submission of tenders, coordinating with the operations team to ensure seamless handovers.


Requirements:
Proven experience in mechanical estimating within the Construction or Engineering sector. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installation practices. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
