Job Title: Plant Inspection Specialist

Location: Cheshire, UK

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

The role of the Plant Inspection Specialist is to carry out in-service inspections of major pressure systems on refinery plants. The successful candidate will have experience of creating work scopes to satisfy Written Schemes of Examination (WSE) and be familiar with design codes for process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and PRVs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of WSEs in accordance with PSSR regulations
  • Preparation of inspection work scopes to satisfy WSE requirements
  • Invasive visual examinations of major pressure systems
  • Interface with NDT team to provide clarification on NDT techniques
  • Preparation of high-quality inspection reports

Requirements:

  • In-service inspection experience of process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, and PRVs
  • Understanding of PSSR with experience of creating work scopes to carry out examinations of major pressure systems
  • UKAS definition for category 3 inspection engineers
