R&D Development Chemist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced R&D Development Chemist to join our team at Eleven in Macclesfield. As a key member of our R&D team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and process development, drive impactful R&D, and contribute to the development of sustainable solutions in industrial chemistry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety First: Uphold a strong safety culture, ensuring all experiments are conducted safely and effectively.
  • Scientific Expertise: Plan and execute high-quality research, contributing to technical advancements within the team.
  • Team Collaboration: Play an active role in team meetings, offer insights, and collaborate on workplans to align with business priorities.
  • Technical: Become a subject matter expert, supporting the technical programme and working closely with the engineering team on process development and scale-up.
  • Data Mastery: Manage experimental data with precision, analyse outcomes, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the smooth running of the lab, assist with day-to-day operations, and propose innovative ideas to enhance safety and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • MSc in Chemistry or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of R+D experience in an industrial setting
  • Expertise in High Reactive / High Pressure chemistries essential
  • Familiarity with analytical methods like NMR, IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and GPC
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a creative and independent approach
  • Excellent data management and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
