Disrepair Caseworker Role

We are seeking a skilled Disrepair Caseworker to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. As a Disrepair Caseworker, you will be responsible for managing Pre-Action Disrepair cases, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the team in effective case management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing casework for Pre-Action Disrepair cases, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Maintaining accurate case records, monitoring deadlines, and supporting the team in effective case management.
  • Liaising with Disrepair Surveyors and Contract Manager to ensure remedial works are completed efficiently.
  • Completing 6.3 Landlord's Responses to a high standard, cross-referencing Council and Claimant evidence with expert reports and calculating damages.
  • Providing regular reports on performance to the Senior Disrepair Manager and Disrepair Manager.
  • Adopting Witness Statements and Defences, and attending Court when necessary for cases that escalate to litigation.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the legal framework relating to disrepair.
  • Basic knowledge of law relating to public health and housing.
  • Excellent IT skills, with experience in using various IT systems, including Microsoft Office packages and Housing Management systems.
