Sanctuary Personnel Ltd, a reputable recruitment agency, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with a background in Ophthalmology to join their team in Worcester, UK.

Job Summary:

We are looking for skilled Ophthalmology Nurses to support the efficient and safe running of our services. As an Ophthalmic Nurse/ODP, you will play a key role in theatres and outpatients, supporting a range of clinics, including general, pre- and post-operative assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support theatres and outpatients, including general, pre- and post-operative assessment
  • Prepare patients for surgery, assist in the circulating role, and ensure the safe transfer and positioning of patients
  • Undertake duties such as assembling, checking, preparing, and coordinating the use of surgical equipment and consumables for Ophthalmology procedures
  • Set up for vitrectomy surgery and have a full understanding of Phaco Machines/Instrumentation
  • Accurately record patient history relevant to the clinic and advise patients on the appropriate care for their eye conditions

Requirements:

  • Degree or Equivalent in Nursing
  • Hospital Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare setting is essential
  • IELTS or OET: If applicable, proof of language proficiency is required
  • Theatre training/substantive experience required
  • 3 years or more hospital eye service experience expected
  • Intermediate Life Support training

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary: £36,000 starting, rising to £37,500 after 12 months of service

  • NMC OSCE (first attempt): £794
  • NMC Computer Based Test: £83
  • OSCE Training and Accommodation: £2,099
