Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Panel Wirer to join our team at a leading manufacturer in the St Helens area. As a Panel Wirer, you will be responsible for the assembly and wiring of protection and control panels, ensuring high-quality production and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and wire protection and control panels according to electrical schematics and GA drawings
  • Layout and mechanical assembly of panels, ensuring accurate and efficient production
  • Point-to-point check of completed panels to ensure quality and safety standards
  • Electrical interconnection wiring and testing of equipment
  • Completion of production paperwork, including time sheets and assembly records
  • Installation of equipment into substations and testing of completed panels
  • Cutting of cable and fitting of cable identification labels
  • Identify and communicate potential health and safety risks in the production area
Requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring drawings and electrical schematics
  • Panel wiring or electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • General IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work effectively on own or as part of a team
  • Experience with the assembly of protection and control panels
