Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to join our team at a leading chilled food manufacturing business in Pontefract.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for proactive and reactive maintenance duties within a fast-paced production environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing planned mechanical and electrical maintenance, including fault finding, breakdown repairs, installation, and modification to plant and services.
- Maintaining and repairing plant and equipment to strict engineering, quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ensuring all engineering work is carried out efficiently and effectively in accordance with good manufacturing practice, health and safety legislation, and current company standards.
- Fault diagnosing and completing breakdown repairs of process equipment, packaging equipment, and site services.
- Facilitating a speedy response to all plant stoppages and helping to plan and implement modifications to new and existing equipment.
Requirements include:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A time-served apprenticeship in an engineering discipline, holding an electrical/mechanical engineering HND/HNC/BTech/ONC/C&G Level 3/18th Edition qualifications.
