Transform Lives as a SEN Teaching Assistant

We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Rainham. As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in the growth and development of children with autism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to children with autism, focusing on those with non-verbal or limited verbal abilities.
  • Implement communication strategies such as PECS and Makaton to facilitate meaningful interactions.
  • Collaborate with our skilled team to create personalised learning plans that cater to each child's unique needs.
  • Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with individuals with autism (ASD), whether through paid positions or personal involvement.
  • A background in utilising communication tools such as PECS and Makaton, particularly with non-verbal or limited verbal children.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children with SEN.
