Wound Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Ambulatory Wound Clinics team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Staff Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality wound care to patients in our community.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative team, providing complex wound care to patients in the East Staffs area. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based nursing care for patients with a range of wound types.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality wound care to patients in our ambulatory clinics
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate evidence-based nursing care for patients with complex wounds
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
- Liaise with patients, families, and carers to provide education and support
- Contribute to the development and implementation of wound care policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Experience of working in a community or wound care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Knowledge of wound care principles and practices
