Institutional Sales Specialist, Italy/Southern Europe

We are seeking an experienced Institutional Sales Specialist to join our team in Italy, covering and prospecting institutional clients in the region. This role may potentially expand into other markets in Southern Europe, with the opportunity to work from our London office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit sales, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients across our entire range of product types, including ETFs and listed derivatives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping our team develop a strategy to expand our coverage in the region, leveraging their deep knowledge of the market and industry in Italy. They will identify potential clients, prioritise opportunities, and engage with them to drive business growth. Collaboration with various teams across Jane Street, including Fixed Income Trading, Marketing, Strategy, and Technology, will be essential in delivering client feedback and informing the development of our offerings in credit bonds trading.
This is a people-focused role that requires building and maintaining relationships with institutional clients. The successful candidate will join client meetings, keep clients and prospects engaged, and represent our firm at conferences and events. They will have a full understanding of our trading expertise, execution services, and the range of products we trade, and will look for opportunities to cross-sell with clients when appropriate.
About You- 7+ years of credit sales/sales trading experience at a bank
- Some exposure to electronic trading and/or portfolio trading is preferred
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and external business partners within the broader fixed income space
- Organised and professional with strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to travel to Italy and elsewhere throughout Southern Europe as needed
- Fluency in English and Italian are required; ability to speak Spanish is a plus
