Prison Workshop Supervisor Job Opportunity

We are recruiting a Prison Workshop Supervisor to lead a team of prisoners in our woodwork workshop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality wood products while developing the skills and confidence of prisoners.

The ideal candidate will have relevant work experience in a production environment, preferably with supervisory experience. You should be able to read, understand, and work from technical drawings, as well as hold or be willing to obtain Level 3 or equivalent in Woodwork related production.

In this rewarding role, you will contribute to health and safety risk assessments, participate in self-audit and achieving Service Delivery Indicators (SDIs), and ensure that all services are provided to a high standard. A salary of around £35,000 per year is expected, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including annual leave, pension schemes, and training opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will need strong communication and influencing skills, a caring and resilient approach, and the ability to make effective decisions.
