Market Intelligence and Product Support

The Senior Network Manager will be responsible for maintaining in-depth knowledge of foreign markets, including local market practices and regulations. This will involve advising internal departments of market changes in a timely manner and representing BBH in industry working groups and industry events/forums in Europe as a market specialist and liaison.

Relationship Management

The Senior Network Manager will act as a primary relationship contact for subcustodian banks, conducting regular and ongoing monitoring of service levels with subcustodian banks. This will involve conducting annual local market due diligence and arranging meetings with subcustodian banks, as well as coordinating efforts internally when regulatory or market changes require changes in processes and support.

Client Service

The Senior Network Manager will synthesize, package and deliver value-added market intelligence information to Network clients in collaboration with the Markets teams. This will involve participating in internal working groups when regulatory or market changes require changes in processes and support, as well as participating in client calls and meetings to provide market updates and insights to showcase expertise.

Risk Management

The Senior Network Manager will identify market risks and develop ways to mitigate them, collaborating with internal departments in the development of operational workflows and assessment of operational risk considerations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in business, finance or English.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the financial services industry, including knowledge of foreign securities and cash/FX market activities, regulations, products and market infrastructure entities and payment systems.
  • Global Custody Experience at least 8 years in industry/Network experience preferred.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid custody or transaction banking background and the ability to draw connections between market regulation and operational processes.
  • Solid background and experience in risk management, compliance and control practices (operational and market based).
  • Leader that collaborates well in a global team environment to ensure department and firm success.
  • Ability to influence and motivate staff across locations in order to resolve client issues.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in order to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems, based on a balance of facts, experience, common sense.
  • Some business travel may be required.
