About the Position
The University of California, Irvine seeks an exceptional postdoctoral researcher in theoretical condensed matter physics to join our esteemed faculty.
Estimated Salary Range: $66,000 - $80,000 per year
This appointment will focus on investigating microscopic sources of noise and loss in magnetic systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in statistical and condensed matter physics, as well as proficiency in computer skills.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of magnetism, magnetic materials, two-level systems, and disordered systems. Experience with Monte Carlo simulations is also desirable.
Basic Qualifications (Required at Time of Application)
- Applicant should have or be about to gain a PhD in Physics or related field.
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate excellent research potential and a strong commitment to academic excellence.
