Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Job Summary: We are seeking a caring, supportive, and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant who has experience working with pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to students with SEND, particularly SEMH.
- Assist in the implementation of EHCPs.
- Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere for students’ academic and personal development.
- Provide young persons with opportunities for lifelong learning, growing independence, and being valued members of society.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, and associated difficulties is desirable.
- Deliver engaging activities to pupils in small groups.
- A compassionate and patient approach towards supporting students’ individual needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant qualifications or training in supporting individuals with SEND is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS.
- Experience, knowledge, and understanding of safeguarding processes.
- Available to work 5 days per week (8:30-15:30) term time.
