Job Title: Consultant in Diabetes & Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine

University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Diabetes & Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine to join our dynamic and thriving teaching hospital. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, leading a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our diabetes and endocrinology services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist care to patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and policies
  • Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervise and educate junior doctors and medical students
Requirements:
  • Full and specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Eligible for specialist registration within six months of interview
  • Holder of Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent
  • Higher academic qualification (e.g., MD, PhD) desirable
