Laboratory Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team at Eurofins UK Food Testing. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our testing services.

• Carry out registration and processing of food samples in accordance with quality standards and written procedures.
• Conduct reading/confirmation tests, media QC, IQC, and environmental monitoring in line with quality standards and written procedures.
• Adhere to documented procedures for the relevant section of the laboratory, ensuring accurate recording of sample information, proper handling of samples, and maintenance of quality data.
• Ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and contribute to maintaining a clean and tidy working environment.
• Wear personal protective clothing equipment in accordance with the Health & Safety policy.
• Have knowledge of the Laboratory Quality Manual to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and associated documents.
• Assist in operating best practice to meet the requirements of the UKAS accreditation standard.
• Provide excellent internal and external customer care.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as delegated by the line manager.

• Degree or equivalent in science.
• Understanding of ISO 17025, UKAS, key customer requirements, audit procedures, methods, etc.
• Experience working in a UKAS accredited laboratory.
• Good organisational and technical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Reliability and thoroughness.
• Willingness to take on responsibility.
• Commitment to meeting customer expectations.
