About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Mountain Healthcare Ltd as a SARC Manager, where you will play a pivotal role in developing a strategic vision for the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) service. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to the smooth running of the SARC, ensuring that services meet national and local targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver safe and effective services to all clients of the SARC, meeting national and local targets.
  • Evaluate and assess current service delivery, implementing changes in practice that deliver significant and substantial improvements in access and service delivery, while working within a budget.
  • Manage all employees associated with the SARC, providing leadership and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the SARC service, ensuring that it meets internal and external expectations and budgetary constraints.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification
  • Please note, all successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police vetting NVVP Level 2 checks.
  • Because of the nature of this role, applications are invited from females only. This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e.

  • Basic Life Support (Training Provided)
  • Working with vulnerable people
  • Excellent communication skills and styles
  • Proven strong judgement and analysis
  • Venepuncture trained
  • Managerial experience
  • Trained to complete forensic examinations
  • Having awareness of SARC commissioning
