About The Role:


This is a demanding role in a fast-paced environment. As a Management Accountant, you will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our Finance team. This includes posting journals, preparing and reviewing financial performance, and having an input on key commercial decision making.


Responsibilities:



  • Preparing month end P&L, Balance Sheet and reporting pack, and explaining variances against budget
  • Finance business partnering with key teams throughout the wider business
  • Review and challenge of monthly accruals for the wider business
  • Owning and challenging the output of the Overheads team
  • Overseeing sales ledger processes and manual payment processes
  • Monitoring revenue tracking processes for online and store operations
  • Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly regulatory returns (VAT, ONS, Intrastat)
  • Assisting with year-end audit
  • Other tasks as required

Person Specification:


This is a challenging role in a fast-paced business. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following:



  • Experience in a commercial organisation
  • Experience preparing management accounts with commentary
  • Strong Excel skills, with experience of financial modelling (desirable)
  • Professional qualification desirable (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or similar)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  • The confidence to challenge existing practices and seek improvements
