We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team at Opus People Solutions. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Finance Business Partner in preparing annual revenue estimates, monitoring income and expenditure, and closing down accounts for Redditch Borough Council and Bromsgrove District Council.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in the preparation of annual revenue estimates and monitoring of income and expenditure.
- Assist in the management of the Capital Programme budgets, including monitoring income and expenditure, co-ordination of capital bids, and completion of government returns.
- Provide support to the management of the Council's cashflow, banking, and money market transactions, in accordance with the Treasury Management policy of each Authority.
- Advise on various financial matters as requested by the Senior Finance Business Partner, Heads of Service, and Directors on the Financial Service systems.
- Prepare quarterly income and expenditure monitoring reports for the Corporate Management Team and Members.
- Complete reconciliations between systems relevant to their designated service area.
- Participate in the activities associated with the closedown of the Council accounts and assist in the preparation of draft final accounts.
