Aerospace & Defence Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Aerospace & Defence Manager to join our team at Gleeson Recruitment Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing the sales, inventory, and operations planning processes within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Accurate Sales Forecasts: Utilize historical data, market trends, and sales team input to create reliable sales forecasts.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing Teams: Align with sales and marketing teams to ensure demand planning and promotional activities are in sync.
  • Monitor Inventory Levels: Ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Implement Inventory Control Processes: Develop and implement inventory control processes and systems to track and manage stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock.
  • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Logistics Teams: Align production schedules with sales forecasts and inventory plans.
  • Optimize Production Plans: Ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of products.
  • Lead the SIOP Process: Facilitate regular meetings with cross-functional teams to review and update forecasts, inventory levels, and production plans.
  • Develop and Implement SIOP Best Practices: Continuously improve the SIOP process and implement best practices.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators: Monitor and report on sales, inventory, and operations planning KPIs.
  • Prepare and Present Reports: Provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Facilitate Communication and Collaboration: Ensure effective communication and collaboration between sales, marketing, production, procurement, and finance teams.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP).
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools and software, excellent leadership and people skills, effective communication skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years' experience in end-to-end supply chain and five years of experience in S&OP, demand and/or supply planning.
