Senior Designer Electrical Job Opportunity

Are you a skilled electrical design professional looking for a challenging role in a dynamic organisation? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Designer Electrical to join our team in Barrow in Furness.

The Role

As a Senior Designer Electrical, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, resolving design issues, and coaching and mentoring other design engineers. You will work on complex projects, achieve a work-life balance, and have the opportunity to work on long-term contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Apply proven techniques and procedures to design and develop electrical systems.
  2. Resolve design issues and problems for a range of design situations.
  3. Diagnose and resolve operational, repair, installation, and commissioning problems and issues.
  4. Coach and mentor other design engineers, applying interpersonal skills in communicating technical design matters.
  5. Work with a degree of technical autonomy, demonstrating a commitment to professional design engineering principles and values.
  6. Possess knowledge and experience in a design subject area.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in a similar position and possess the following skills:

  1. Understanding of design principles and approaches relevant to design activities.
  2. Depth of understanding, knowledge, and experience relevant to a specialist area of activity, for example, relevant to a department, unit, system, platform, etc.
