Job Title: Connected Cars Validation Officer

Techniche Global Ltd is seeking a skilled Connected Cars Validation Officer to support our Electrical & Electronic (EE) Test team in the validation of connected car telematics systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • System Validation: Collaborate with the EE Test team to ensure end-to-end system validation for connected car telematics systems meets project schedules.
  • Interoperability Testing: Conduct interoperability testing of connected systems to ensure seamless communication.
  • Test Planning: Develop test plans to meet project and design milestones, ensuring vehicle level quality, function, and reliability standards are maintained.
  • Root Cause Investigation: Conduct root cause investigation of complex concerns on vehicles to identify and resolve issues.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and software management for the vehicle manufacturing plant and test fleet.
  • Supplier Management: Manage suppliers, technicians, and guest engineers to ensure efficient project execution.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum two vehicle developments experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development or equivalent experience.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel abroad for short to medium periods, occasionally longer.
  • Education: Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Software Knowledge: Proficiency in software programming and quality assurance.
  • ECU Experience: Experience with software application into vehicle ECUs in the manufacturing environment, including flashing, coding, configuration, and calibration.
  • Risk Assessment: Experience in risk assessing software modifications and developing test plans.
  • Validation Experience: Ability to validate multiple software versions simultaneously and adapt prioritization of validation activities.
  • Network Communications: Understanding of network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  • Software Tools: Proficiency in operating CANalyzer, CANoe, Matlab software, or similar for data capture, analysis, and test procedure execution.
  • Offboard Telematics: Experience with offboard telematics systems, including servers, network providers, and commercial software applications.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to follow system circuit diagrams, identify electrical connections, and demonstrate practical problem-solving skills.
