Connected Car Validation Engineer

Key Responsibilities- Perform end-to-end system validation for connected car telematics systems, covering both the on-board and off-board environments in vehicle and in bench test and ensuring function, performance, and reliability.
- Create and execute detailed test plans in line with project schedules and milestones.
- Conduct root cause investigations under guidance, utilising data logging and analysis.
- Collaborate across functions with quality, project management, and engineering teams to ensure transparency and early response to concerns.
- Provide technical support and software management for both the vehicle manufacturing plant and the test fleet.
- Experience in software application into vehicle ECUs, including flashing, coding/configuration, and calibration.
- Knowledge of software programming and software quality assurance.
- Experience of software application into vehicle ECUs in the manufacturing environment – flashing, coding/configuration, and calibration.
- Experience of risk assessing software modifications and develop appropriate test plans.
- Proficiency in using CANalyzer, CANoe, Matlab software, or similar for data capture and analysis.
- Understanding of network communications and multiple bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- A degree in a relevant discipline, paired with fluent English language skills.
This role is situated within an innovative automotive technical centre that is dedicated to the design and development of vehicles for the European market. Your contribution will directly influence the quality, function, and reliability of cutting-edge connected car systems, aligning with the company's commitment to excellence and innovation in the automotive industry.
LocationThis exciting opportunity is based in Cranfield, with a requirement to be on-site for a minimum of three days a week.
