Job Title: Data Scientist Graduate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to join our team at the Greater London Authority. As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in driving data-driven insights and decision-making to address crime, criminal justice, and policing challenges in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Data Scientists and spearhead the development and execution of sophisticated analytical projects
  • Provide strategic leadership in formulating the Data Science strategy and offering expert guidance in specialized technical areas
  • Ensure data science is a key aspect within the Greater London Authority's decision-making process
  • Attend, contribute to, and present at corporate boards and policy meetings

Requirements:

  • Graduate and/or professional qualification in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, social science, or related area
  • Experience leading or mentoring a team of data analysts or scientists
  • Proficiency in coding with SQL, DAX, M, Python, or R, with the ability to manipulate and analyze data efficiently
