Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Harnham - Data & Analytics Recruitment. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be working with leading retailers in the FMCG sector to improve their knowledge and understanding of their customer base.

About the Role:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for working with advanced modelling techniques such as regression, propensity, churn and chaid analysis using a tech stack based around Python/PySpark and SQL. You will be working on a consultancy basis, using statistical modelling to solve client's problems using your excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced statistical models to analyze customer data and improve client understanding
  • Work with clients to identify business problems and develop solutions using data science techniques
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science insights into business decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data science and analytics

Requirements:

  • Experience working with customer data and statistical modelling
  • Advanced commercial experience using SQL, Python/PySpark and Hadoop to build models such as Propensity and Clustering (K-means, Random Forest)
  • Commercial experience within the FMCG / Retail industry is desirable
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Educated to degree level in a STEM subject or similar

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary between £55,000 and £72,000, as well as an extensive benefits package, including a 12% bonus and flexible working arrangements.
