About the Job

Crown Commercial Service is looking for a Cloud Environment Specialist to join its Digital & Data Services (DDS) directorate. The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering and maintaining non-production environments that aid critical digital service development.

The role involves ensuring our development, testing and staging environments enable efficient delivery across both agile and waterfall methodologies, assisting our mission to transform public sector procurement.

Key responsibilities include designing, implementing and maintaining development, test and staging environments, managing environment capacity, performance and availability, coordinating infrastructure and software upgrades, aiding both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies through effective environment management, and implementing and maintaining environment access controls and security measures.

The ideal candidate will have experience with deployment tools, understanding of cloud platforms, experience with infrastructure as code, knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools, and understanding of security and access control principles.

The estimated salary for this position is £60,000-£70,000 per annum.
