About Anglian Home Improvements: As a renowned industry leader in manufacturing, we deliver innovative solutions and products. We are expanding and seeking an experienced individual to elevate our Technical and Design team to unprecedented heights.

Role Purpose: As the Technical Manager, your main goal is to oversee and develop the Technical and Design Team to provide exceptional manufacturing and product technical support across all our products. You will be responsible for supporting production, ensuring compliance with regulations, and leading new product development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Technical and Design team, overseeing the product range from design to manufacturing.
  • Create data for manufacturing production systems and technical guides.
  • Develop and mentor a team of up to 10 employees, including Design Engineers and Technicians.
  • Maintain accurate drawing suites for existing and new products.
  • Provide technical information and guides for various internal functions.
  • Ensure all products meet legislative, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Offer advice on technical specifications and H&S compliance.
  • Lead the design and development of new products, including testing and performance verification.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in windows and doors.
  • Knowledge of UPVC/Aluminium suites preferred.
  • Experience in new product development and project management.
  • IT skills including 3D CAD and product configuration software.
  • Understanding of third-party accreditations such as BSI, BBA, and BFRC.
