Raw Material

Key Responsibilities:

Nutreco is seeking a highly skilled Raw Material & Logistics Manager to lead the forecasting, contracting, and planning of raw material deliveries to our facilities within the Trouw Nutrition USA-Companion Animal business unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with experience in managing teams and collaborating with global buyers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and build team capabilities of Material Planners and inbound/outbound Transportation Buyers
• Regularly communicate with vendors to ensure seamless coordination on purchase contract call-offs
• Conduct regular forecasting reviews with vendors to align expectations and anticipate supply needs
• Address and resolve any issues related to delivery delays or disruptions to ensure business continuity
• Proactively manage discrepancies in pricing/volumes to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Establish and maintain supportive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Evaluate and analyze key vendor performance indicators, particularly focusing on supplier performance metrics such as On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery
• Foster open dialogue with vendors to address challenges and ensure expectations and collaborative performance enhancement and operational efficiency
• Negotiate Incoterms with vendors to identify the most cost-effective and efficient delivery methods for raw materials
• Serve as the key liaison with Nutreco's global Contracting team and management of the Forecast-to-Contract process

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field, with 2-4 years of experience in raw material sourcing, supply chain management, or logistics, preferably in the companion animal, livestock, or aquaculture industries.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of logistics INCO terms and imports/exports of goods into the USA
• Highly knowledgeable of ingredient sourcing, procurement processes, and supply chain best practices
• Savvy negotiator with high-level interpersonal skills
• Analytical mindset with a proficiency in Data Analysis Tools
• Experience with ERP or SAP software (M3-Nice to Have)
• Intermediate user: MS suite 2023- Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint
• PMP experience (Nice to Have)
