Project Director - Commercial Fit Out

At Turner & Townsend, we're passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. As a Project Director - Commercial Fit Out, you'll play a key role in leading our Project Management Corporate Occupier team in London.

With a strong track record of delivering complex projects, you'll be responsible for leading workstreams on transformation programmes and driving growth within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Project Management Commissions, ensuring end-to-end service delivery.
  • Provide support on major Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for an aspect of service delivery.
  • Ensure client objectives are met and projects are delivered to time, cost, and quality targets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establish project success criteria, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
  • Lead on compliance for quality, safety, health, and environment issues on project commissions.
  • Establish effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Lead project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
  • Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team.
  • Monitor and apply performance management techniques.
  • Lead and advise on project finances.
  • Lead and advise on Contract Administration processes, claims resolution, and disputes.
  • Manage project information flow between the team and client.
  • Prepare project progress and other reports.
  • Interface with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Ensure project case study, photograph, and project CV files are up to date on internal systems.
  • Identify ways to improve project management products and services.

Internal Management Accountabilities:

  • Knowledge management - ensure key information and learning are input into the Turner & Townsend internal database.
  • Financial management - ensure prompt client invoicing and monitor project financial status.
  • Line management - mentor and develop line reports, carry out performance reviews, and identify skills gaps in the team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related fields.
  • At least 10 years of experience working on interior fit-out projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience of creative problem-solving and ability to push past barriers to achieve full project execution.
