Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor / Estimator to join our team at FMG Repair Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the extent of damage to vehicles, preparing and maintaining records of electronic and manual estimates, and liaising with insurance companies and customers to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the extent of damage to vehicles and prepare detailed estimates for repairs
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of electronic and manual estimates
  • Liaise with insurance companies to obtain authorization for repairs
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair methodologies and timelines
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the bodyshop and other functional areas to ensure efficient and effective repairs
Requirements
  • Qualification in a relevant field, such as NVQ level 3 or City & Guilds
  • Experience in a bodyshop or collision repair environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Full UK driving license
