Mechanical Engineer - Piping and Supports Specialist
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Mactech Energy Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and accepting engineering queries related to piping and supports on the HPC project.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to general queries, non-conformances, change requests, and exemption requests
- Provide oversight to ensure compliance with nuclear safety and environmental regulations
- Challenge design decisions to ensure alignment with project strategy
- Assist in coordinating support from external organizations
- Contribute to the resolution and closure of open points
- Assess technical risk and address it accordingly
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience in piping and support design, installation, and/or commissioning
- Experience applying multi-disciplinary technical knowledge within the nuclear industry
- Experience in welding engineering
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work independently
Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home
Flexible working hours to accommodate travel
Competitive salary range of £380-£520 per week
