Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance MRICS/FRICS Building Surveyor to join our team at Exchange Street Claims & Financial Services. As a Freelance Chartered Surveyor, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects, including building pathology and expert witness work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of houses and apartments to identify defects and assess their impact.
  • Produce detailed repair specifications and reports to support your findings.
  • Work independently, but with the full backing of our supportive team.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of building pathology and expert witness work.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Hold an MRICS or FRICS professional designation.
  • Have extensive experience in Building Surveying, with a strong focus on building pathology and expert witness work.
  • Have a working understanding of HHSRS and the Landlord & Tenant Act 1985.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Apple iOS devices.
