Sutton Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a leading company in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and providing administrative support to the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain nominal and general ledger accounts, including bank postings and credit card reconciliations
- Process payroll control accounts, VAT returns, and purchase ledger maintenance
- Enter purchase invoices and purchase orders, and reconcile supplier statements
- Raise bulk supplier payments and maintain sales ledger accounts
- Provide credit control and posting of bank receipts
- Assist with stock control and costings, including manual adjustments and processing of stock counts
- Use SAGE 50, Excel, and Word to manage financial data and reports
- AAT Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Experience with SAGE 50, Excel, and Word
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Monday to Friday, 08:00am – 16:30pm (30 minute lunch un-paid)
- 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (Birthday off)
- Nest Pension; 3% client, 5% employee
