About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Asset Delivery team at Vector Recruitment Solutions Ltd. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in developing estimates for multi-disciplined Highways Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze customer drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labor, and equipment.
  • Oversee design options and identify value solutions to optimize project outcomes.
  • Record assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and support risk evaluation to ensure project feasibility.
  • Liaise with project team members and the supply chain to understand methodologies and principles proposed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Take the lead on small to medium-sized bids, ensuring tender deliverables are produced effectively and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and review tender documents and submission requirements.
  • Establish and agree key rates and conduct detailed analysis of subcontractors' proposals.
Requirements
  • Infrastructure main contractor background and experience in estimating roles.
  • Good financial acumen and proficiency in IT applications like Word and Excel.
  • Experience with Candy Estimating Software is desirable but not essential.
  • Working towards or holding a relevant industry chartership (e.g., ICE, CICES, RICS, CIOB) is advantageous.
