Location: Commutable to Ashford, Kent

Remuneration: £45,000 - £55,000 + profit related bonus

Benefits: Pension, health care, 25 days annual leave

The Role:

The Estimator - Architectural & Structural Metalwork will be responsible for:

  • Estimating and pricing architectural metalwork systems, including structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking & sheet metalwork
  • Carrying out take-offs from drawings and measurements to produce bills of quantities/price schedules
  • Dealing with client enquiries and providing accurate and detailed tenders within the timeframe provided
  • Following up on submitted tenders, receiving feedback from clients and updating records accordingly
  • Conducting handover meetings and passing secured projects to the production team
  • Developing relationships with clients to secure further business
  • Liaising with colleagues to facilitate the progression of tenders and projects
  • Producing estimates for projects ranging from £1,000 to £3,000,000 in value
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Estimating experience within the metalwork market sector, whether structural or architectural
  • Experience dealing with structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking & sheet metalwork would be advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Driven, enthusiastic, comfortable working autonomously
