Senior Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing coaching and mentoring to front-line staff, identifying training needs, and ensuring that staff meet their contracted hours while managing holiday cover and absence.

You will also be responsible for developing the ability of your team to produce accurate and effective support plans, covering on-call shift work as needed, and liaising with external agencies such as family members or Social Work Services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coaching and mentoring front-line staff
  • Identifying training needs and ensuring training is provided
  • Producing staff rota and managing holiday cover and absence
  • Developing team's ability to produce accurate support plans
  • Covering on-call shift work as needed
  • Liaising with external agencies

We are looking for a candidate with at least 2 years of experience in supporting individuals within care and a willingness to work towards SVQ Level 3. The successful applicant must also register with SSSC as a Supervisor in Care at Home and Housing Support Services on taking up the post. PVG checks will be required of all successful applicants.
