Finance Director Job Description

ASSA ABLOY UK is seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the finance function across our Door Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial systems and processes to support improved management of the company.
  • Analyse performance and identify risk to ensure good financial governance across the business.
  • Play a major role in the development and implementation of the company's strategic plans to achieve financial and growth targets.
  • Support the preparation of business unit plans and targets, and ensure the company delivers its commitments.
  • Responsible for the production of all financial information to the Group and senior management.
  • Actively seek methods to enhance the overall efficiency and performance of projects.
  • Review financial reporting processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and deliver improved IT systems to support seamless and accurate financial management.
  • Cash flow management and financial governance through effective controls.
  • Prepare and control monthly/quarterly/annual department and business unit forecasts and budgets.
Requirements:
  • Hold a qualification in Accountancy (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a senior finance role is essential.
  • Functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Dynamics AX or NAV.
  • Experience in Manufacturing and/or Construction.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence individuals/teams at different levels.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
