**Job Title:** Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Location: London

Department: Radiology/Nuclear Medicine

Reports To: Chief Technologist / Department Manager

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PET-CT technologist to join our team at Pulse Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality PET-CT scans and other nuclear medicine imaging procedures, ensuring excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct PET-CT scans and other nuclear medicine imaging procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain the process, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
  • Safely handle and administer radiopharmaceuticals, following all safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Operate imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images, and perform quality control checks to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, document procedures, and assist in the preparation of diagnostic reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of imaging equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including radiation safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Certification: Registered or Classified through The Register of Clinical Technologists (the RCT) or the HCPC.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in PET-CT and nuclear medicine imaging.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of PET-CT imaging techniques, radiopharmaceuticals, and safety protocols.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum
