We are seeking a dedicated and caring Family Support Coordinator to join our team at Service Care Solutions. As a Family Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring positive connections between looked-after children and their birth families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise family time between children and their families at designated contact centers and community settings.
- Create detailed observations and reports on your interactions with children and families.
- Liaise with social workers and escalate any concerns you may have about a child's well-being.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive environment for children and families during these visits.
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license with access to your own vehicle.
- A relevant qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 in Working with Children and Young People (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working with children, young people, or families in a social care, educational, or voluntary setting.
- A strong understanding of child development and the needs of children in care.
- Excellent written communication skills to document observations and reports.
- A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their well-being.
- A team player with a caring and reliable personality.
