About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Test Engineer to join our Testing department at OSB Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our data.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data testing concepts and methodologies, with experience in designing and executing data tests, profiling, quality assessment, and validation. You will work closely with internal Data development & client teams, implementing & adhering to Data Test Quality processes & policies, whilst delivering to data standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain tailored test plans, cases, and scripts for data validation
  • Scope, plan, prepare & coordinate the data test activity for projects, releases, change and defect fixes to achieve successful delivery to time & quality
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge and level of expertise of the OSB Data Warehouses & Reporting systems to support each testing projects
  • Conduct data mapping and integration testing to ensure seamless data flow between systems
  • Validate data transformations, mappings, and business rules with data engineers and developers
  • Write complex & structured SQL queries to interrogate databases
  • Document test plans, results, and reports
  • Communicate test progress, risks, and issues to team members
What We Offer

We offer a competitive benefits package, including a base salary dependent on location and experience between £50,000 - £60,000, discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 15%, and a range of other benefits such as contributory pension, life assurance, and private medical insurance.
