We are seeking a skilled Clinical Coder to join our team at Your World Recruitment Ltd. As a Clinical Coder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all inpatient activity is accurately captured and recorded in a nationally recognized format.
Key Responsibilities:- Extract clinical information from various source documents, including paper and electronic systems.
- Translate medical terminology into national and international alphanumeric codes.
- Produce consistent, accurate, complete, and timely coded clinical data to facilitate managers and clinicians in monitoring, planning, and provision of high-quality patient care.
- Acquire knowledge and expertise through nationally recognized training to ensure accurate abstraction of clinical information from source documents.
- Verify data where necessary and translate into diagnostic and procedural codes.
- Minimum of 12 months previous clinical coding experience.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomical, and physiological concepts.
- Specialist knowledge of ICD10 and OPCS4 coding classifications and standards in the NHS UK environment.
- Completion of the Clinical Coding Foundation and Refresher Course.
- A temporary role with the potential for hybrid working.
