Job Summary

SLR Consulting is seeking an experienced CAD Technician to join our team in the delivery of transportation planning and design projects. As a Senior CAD Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical advice and producing high-quality plans for public consultation and inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice to colleagues and clients on transportation planning and design projects
  • Produce high-quality plans and drawings for public consultation and inquiries
  • Assist in the development of preliminary highway schemes, signal-controlled junctions, and roundabouts
  • Design car park layouts and multi-storey car parks, including access ramps
  • Conduct site measurements and collect data to inform design work
  • Review and assess new advances in relevant technology
  • Ensure compliance with operational requirements and systems

About You

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious CAD Technician with:

  • Experience in developing preliminary highway schemes and designing priority junctions, signal-controlled junctions, and roundabouts
  • Knowledge of car park layout design and multi-storey car park design, including access ramps
  • Knowledge of cycle scheme design and expert use of AutoCAD software
  • Experience using additional software packages, such as Civil 3D, Map 3D, Keylines, and Keysigns
